About Us
Rock Ridge Cemetery in Sharon, Massachusetts, contains graves dating back to at least 1760 (e.g., Elizabeth Capen) and early town leaders such as Job Swift, one of Sharon’s first selectmen and a 1774 Provincial Congress delegate. It’s also the burial place of Deborah Sampson Gannett, Massachusetts’ official state heroine, with a prominent monument honoring her and Sharon’s Civil War dead, dedicated in May 1908 by her grandson.
